SPORTS SCHOOLS

It is aimed at students from 4 years of age, with two 45-minute sessions per week during midday recess.

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 

  • Initiating and developing physical qualities, overall strengthening flexibility and coordination.
  • Working on the specific elements of Rhythmic Gymnastics: balance, jumps, flexibility and turnings.
  • Working on the specific skills of Rhythmic Gymnastics: ball, hoop, clubs, ribbon and rope.
  • Working on the specific acrobatic elements of Rhythmic Gymnastics: somersaults and handstands.
  • Promoting routine creation activities.

The purchase of the Rhythmic Gymnastics pack starts from the 1st Year of Primary School. From that year, students will change clothes in the sports centre with their instructor before the activity. 4 and 5-year old female students will remove their skirts to do the activities in thick woollen tights.

In Pre-School, the maximum number of participants per group is 16, it being 20 for Primary School ones.

It is aimed at students from 5 years of age, with two 45-minute sessions per week during midday recess.

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 

  • Developing general dynamic coordination, hand-eye coordination and spatial and temporal perception.
  • Knowing and developing the diverse movements and positions on the court.
  • Familiarising participants with the court and the equipment.
  • Knowledge of the different technical aspects by applying them to a range of exercises, games and real situations.
  • Knowledge of the rules of the sport.
  • Promoting teamwork skills, cooperation, respect, attention and motivation.

If your child has to change clothes because they are not wearing their tracksuit that day, they’ll get changed in their classroom before the activity. In order to do so, they’ll leave a bag or school bag in their classroom with the appropriate clothing. When you deem it necessary, tell them to bring it back home to have it washed and bring it back to school the following week.

From the First Year of Primary School, groups will have a maximum of 14 participants.

It is aimed at students from 4 years of age, with two 45-minute sessions per week during midday recess.

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

  • Knowledge of the basic Judo skills.
  • Development of the basic physical qualities.
  • Knowledge of the body schema and postural control
  • Initiation to competition with their mates and external competition with other clubs and schools.
  • Knowing and developing the diverse movements and positions on the judo mat.
  • Knowing Judo’s specific rules.

The use of the judogi is compulsory during the activity. 4 and 5-year old students will carry out the activity wearing only the jacket. The belt and trouser will be used in shows and competitions. Primary School students will completely change clothes.

 

The judogi can be purchased through the Sports Association. Families will be informed later on.

There is a limit of 22 participants in the group of students aged 4 and 5. The limit in the groups commencing from the First Year of Primary School is of 20 participants.

  • Knowing Chess rules and regulations.
  • Initiating and developing elementary moves.
  • Knowing all the chess pieces and moves.
  • Mastering the skills of checkmate.

It is aimed at students from the Third Year of Primary Education, with two 45-minute sessions per week during midday recess.

 

 

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

 

  • Knowing and using the basic movements.
  • Knowing and using the different simple attacks against the diverse checks.
  • Knowing and using the different simple defences from the diverse checks.
  • Understanding the basic concepts in rounds, attacks and defences to apply them to the different times and situations in a duel.

There is a limit of 16 participants per group.

It is aimed at students aged 3, 4 and 5. This activity is carried out in Fuenlabrada Town Council’s swimming pool. Sessions last 50 minutes and are carried out by the council instructors. A school bus is used to transport students there together with 7 ADESO Los Ángeles instructors and a teacher from the school. Their function is helping students with their swimming costumes and materials (change of clothes, hair-drying, etc.).

 

 

There is a total of 50 participants every four-month period. In case there were a higher demand, a draw would be carried out. On the contrary, if the number of participants were not high enough, they would be offered the possibility of attending swimming sessions during the whole academic year.

  • Learning Capoeira’s movements, blows and kicks.
  • Knowing concepts and terms to name movements, techniques, blows and kicks.
  • Approaching students to the Portuguese and Brazilian languages.
  • Knowing aspects related to musicality in Capoeira: thumping, clapping, songs and choirs.
  • Developing coordination, reflexes, sense of rhythm, self-defence skills and body expression.
  • Showing different cultural manifestations that have developed parallel to Capoeira (maculele, roda samba).

  • Gradual knowledge about sports (football and basketball)
  • Acquisition of technical aspects.
  • Spatial orientation.
  • Development of motor skills like throws, jumps, or turnings.
  • Promoting friendships, cooperation and understanding of group sports through games.
